The Hunger Games Trilogy, Jersey Shore, Present, and Snoopy

Last Thursday the children and I were out of town finishing up some school shopping and just running around when I came upon the cutest Snoopy t-shirt ever for Mr. Brown, it was Snoopy lifting weights and above it was G (gym) T (tan) L (laundry) for those of you that don’t know, I am ashamed to admit that we have an obsession for Jersey Shore. We can’t help it, it’s like a bad accident, and you just can’t look away. I know they are completely crazy and I wouldn’t want our children to know we watch it, but it’s just one of those things. I had to snatch it up and surprise him with it when we got home. Little did I know that Mr. Brown was also purchasing me a surprise that day and it was the latest Entertainment Weekly with Peeta and Gale!!!! Now if you haven’t read this series proceed with caution, I have a tendency to be a spoiler.

The day I decided to read the Hunger Games, I was finished within 24 hours!! I have never read a book that had me hooked like this one did; when one chapter ended I couldn’t wait to start the next. Suzanne Collins is amazing. I finished the other two books in less than a week, and begged Wes to start so we could talk about them. He did the same, 3 books in one week, and we are now counting down the days until March 23rd 2012 of the movie release.

SPOILER~
I am 100% team Peeta, I love Peeta, he reminds me of Wes, and I was so happy how it ended. I have always been a “Team Edward” girl until these books came out and now I’m a “Team Peeta” girl. I loved everything about this book expect one part at the end, the relationship with Katniss and her mother, I really wished Collins had given that a better ending. I can’t wait for the movie and I wish everyone would read this series, I can’t imagine anyone being disappointed!

Until next time, happy reading and spray tanning J

~ Ciao

(Practicing my limited Italian, Jersey Shore’s season is in Italy)
