This past Saturday we got to go ALL OUT! Do I sound excited? I was/am. We couldn't have asked for any better circumstances for our Senior Portrait session with Kendra. The first thing was that the weather was perfect and secondly she had booked us for a nice 3 hour session. The more time we have for a session, the better. It allows us to go after a lot of locations, outfit changes, or in this case get VERY technical. Not only is Kendra a beautiful young lady, but she's an athlete...a very good one at that. Things that are important to my seniors are important to me, so we had to really show...

I want to start by simply saying that I am proud of Somerset, KY.  The Somerset I grew up in probably wouldn't have gotten this event past the planning phase and if it did would never have gotten this support. After hearing about the Zombie walk late in the the day, I thought I might run by and grab a few snapshots and really just check everything out.  I thought there might be a crowd, but never did I imagine the amount of people that showed up at the judicial center.  On top of that, A LOT of people put in a TON of effort on their costumes and makeup! A constant topic of discussion with photographers, clients, and everyone in this day and age is the Digital Negative.  For those unaware, Digital Negatives are the final photograph files that prints are created from.  Each photographer I speak to has different thoughts on if clients should receive them, value vs cost, etc. We've always held the opinion that we do not sell these files. A couple of weeks we got to head out to the Foster's farm to shoot some family portraits. I love when there is something a little "extra" to do in a shoot. After capturing some portraits of the family in front of a perfectly placed pond on the backside of the farm...out came the Lincoln! I'm always a sucker for an old car and this one was a classic! With Scott being a lawyer, the Lincoln has an even warmer spot in his heart. We loved it, the kids, loved it and in the end I think we really walked away with some special moments captured. So what exactly is Spotify and why does it keep posting things to all your friends Facebook feed? I would say the most true definition is Spotify drips with pure awesomeness. Allow me to introduce you to the Leigh Family, Megan, Justin, Hudson, and Blake. Megan had called me a few weeks ago about doing a portrait session at their house. While I believe you can pull out a great portrait in the middle of a row of trash cans, you never know what conditions you'll be walking into. Well, on this day I was walking into a dream scenario. They have a huge backyard that is perfectly shaded, there were fresh leaves on the ground, and a photographer's dream of a road running along the back of their property.
